Tailfin Steve in the early days, sporting his new "Harmony" electric guitar! Too bad he opened the wrong gift under the Christmas tree! Oh well, swap the gift tags and no one was the wiser!
Lets travel back in the rock & roll time machine to the mid 70's. Here's a photo of our bass player Kirk Hakanson in his old band "Headwinz". The band is entertaining a large group of "pimple faced" teenagers at Bettendorf High School!
Unfortunately, the school keeps very good records and confiscated Kirks earnings that evening for overdue book fees when he was a student there.
I think those books went up in smoke??

Early photo of the "Spike" band, our drummer Bigpapaspike Richie Reeves, (3rd from the left). There must have been a lot "barley" and "hops" in those days!
Tailfin John Garcia as a "young rocker" with his guitar at his side. He still has every guitar he has every owned! Boy, I wish I would of had his attorney!"
HERE IS AN EARLY PHOTO OF TAILFIN JAY RIPPING IT UP ON THE PIANO JUST PRIOR TO HIM SPRAYING IT WITH LIGHTER FLUID AND SETTING IT A FLAME! UNFORTUNATELY, JAY'S PASSION FOR BURITO'S, ARSEN AND SHOWMANSHIP, COST HIM HIS PIANO, HIS HOUSE, HIS CAT LUCKY, HIS TURTLE FLASH, HIS PRIZED COLLECTION OF "BIG UN'S" MAGAZINES, AND HIS DASHING GOOD LOOKS! ALL KNOWN PHOTOGRAPHS OF JAY PERISHED IN THE FIRE, EXCEPT THIS ONE THAT SOMEHOW SURVIVED BELOW!

Okay, maybe that's not an entirely true about about Tailfin Jay?
Below, is real pictures of Jay when he was a little tike! He had a love for animals, especially horses! Until one day when his horse "Dumper" decided to buck off Jay onto a fresh pile of horse poop!" But cowboy Jay bravely shook it off, and climbed back on his saddle. He rode back into town that day with his head held high! Until he passed the fire department and they shot him off the saddle with a fire hose!
