Hello to all the "Fins" (Tailfins fans) who have found us on the web.  We greatly appreciate your interest in the band, and your support of live music in the Q.C.A.!

Our Mission:

Play classic rock & roll, consume domestic and import beers, and stay out past one o'clock on the weekends!

Our story begins with five lads from Davenpool, Iowa.  We got caught up in the "skiffle" craze, which  eventually lead us to rock and roll!

We spent many long hours drinking beer and crafting our style in clintonburg, muscatineburg, molineburg and wheatlandburg.  Soon, it was discovered that Tailfin Jay was "over age" and was deported back to Davenpool.

After getting Tailfin Jay a new AARP card, we reformed as "The Tailfins" as we launch our "Eating Across The Quad Cities" tour, the rest is bar band history!

We now have Richie "Bigpapaspike" Reeves playing his skins, "Captain" Kirk Hakanson playing the bass & vocals, "Forest Gump" Jay Hakanson playing the guitar, keys, mouth organ and mean tamborine, Jimmy "Madhouse" Stichnoth on  lead guitar and vocals, and yours truly, Steve "Ya wacker" Pekios on guitar and vocals.
